Hey guys, quick Q,
About to install a GFI in my outlets and i found out its a 20 amp outlet.

Question is: The 2 outlets I'm using are connected to 1, When circuit breaker shut off, both outlets turn off. So that means they are connected..
Does 1 outlet turn off faster than the other or are they the SAME. I mean do i need to change 2 GFI outlets or just 1 since they are connected?

thank you.

gfi

ok 1 the outlets turn on the same time, you have to see which one is the first one in line from the breaker panel. to do this undo the outlets and turn on power and with a tester see which wire has power to it. or if you allready know which one is first then that is where your gfi will go. you only need 1 gfi the next outlets will be gfi protected if the gfi is the fisrt outlet from the power source

One would work if you know what you are doing.

Just buy two GFI outlets and don't mess around with ELECTRICITY. Remember, black wire goes to the brass screw, white wire goes to the chrome screw, and the green wire goes to the top or bottom screw. I have an outlet tester you can use to test GFI outlet if you want to come by and get it. PS don't bring the bucket back, I found the stack.

i would use 2 gfi outlets with this plug pumps on 2 outlets that is if your using more then one pump this way if 1 gfi outlet trips the other is still working and you still have water movement
