I Have A 72gal Bow Reef And I Have My 700gph Return And (2)hydor Koralia Pumps(850gph), I Am Not Sure Were To Point Them In The Tank,anyone Could Help Me

I Am Not Sure If To Point Right At The Coral Or Not

I Only Have Zoos,frag,clam,mushrooms,feather Dusters, But Looking To Add More

There's no right answer to the question, it depends on your tank shape, the rockwork arrangement, and tons of other things.

Don't point them directly at corals. Try to arrange the powerheads in such a way it makes everything happy and creates random flow, rather than one continuous motion.

There's no set way to point powerheads, just have to find what suits your tank best. Play around with them, once you set them watch the flow for a few mins and see how everything looks, if you like it leave it, if you don't tweak it to make it work.

Something i did different with my current tank is I FIRST set the flow, then placed the coral accordingly. SOme like higher flow, some like lower flow. By setting the powerhead first it created these zones and I just placed the coral accordingly and everythings been great. First time I tried it this way and to tell you the truth its probably one of the first times I haven't moved my coral. HTH

i have three powerheads each at mid level pointing at the front glass with moderate flow. the water seems to ricochet off the glass and create an easy flow around the tank. you just have to play around and find whats right
