had 2 for a while in my 180 all sps never touched anything.then never seen them anymore.tried adding more for aptasia soon as i put themm in my tank my tangs go after them.
Peppermint shrimp are opportunistic feeders. If a coral or animal is stressed, they seem to know it and will go at them voraciously. I must say that I've never witnessed them eat sps though. I've seen them demolish LPS and softies though.
I guess anything is possible. However, I can't answer that one from experience. I've never seen it happen. I have personally witnessed it happen to LPS and softies.
make sure it's not a camel shrimp. sometimes camel shrimp are sold as peppermints because they looks somewhat similar. The camel shrimp will eat your corals.
