Hello i am somewhat new to Salt,,,or should i say Marine
need testing schedule and parameters things i should look for in good water qualities
What should be monitored weakly what should be monitored monthly is what's the optimal saline condition...Etc Etc

My routine.

Daily I test salinity 1.024 good, PH, Cal, Alk, Mg.
weekly Nitrates and phosphates
every 2 weeks 5 gallon water change. Or as needed.
Monthly clean protein skimmer change carbon

This might help you out with regards to your question about frequency and levels.

The chart on that page doesn't include Magnesium (Mg) testing. This is another vital test that should be performed weekly. Level should be about 1300-1350.

I also believe that salinity (specific gravity) should be the same as natural seawater 1.0265. Not the range of 1.023-1.025 that the chart shows. And use a refractometer as opposed to the highly inaccurate hydrometer for testing.
