Setting up my calcium reactor

I have a pinpoint American Marine ph controller and my substrate is Caribsea ARM which melts at a ph between 6.5-6.6.

The question is; what ph should I set for the ph controller to shut off the CO2 and what ph should I set for the solenoid to turn on again?

I try for a 6.5 target - been running mone at 6.6 max, 6.4min

FWIW,
Granular ARM media will melt at 7.0 PH. You don't need to set the reactor effluent that low. I run my reactor with granular ARM and have the effluent between 6.8 & 6.9. My controller will signal the solenoid to shut down at 6.5 and back on at 7.1

Definetly switching to arm... It melt at 7.0... The crushed coral I'm usng now is going to have my rocks in my tank melting with the low effluent...lol

i not a fan of calcium reactors because calcium isnt the only thing that dissolves that goes into your system like plenty of phospate and god knows what else.

We run ARM with Dolomite 6.5 - 6.45

The best way to dial in your reactor is monitor you alkalinity. Keep your alkalinity in range with the proper drip rate and pH in the chamber.

If the alkalinity is good, your calcium will be up to level as well.
