Nah dude, never used it before. I used the FW stuff (when I had a FW tank) and all it did was throw my tank out of whack. The dosages are very touchy.

I don't understand why you should need that product..it gets rid of ammonia & nitrites...those should be long gone from your tank by now.

It would just produce more nitrates faster which you will have to do water changes for anyway. An if it doesnt work and everything goes crazy you will have to do a lot more water changes.

Actually nyreef, you would want to go and do the zeo systems (zeovit/ultralith) or the vodka methods for that kinda stuff. Either of them work on gettign more strains of bacteria in your tank. And this helps give cleaner water by exporting waste/nutrients through bacterial growth. I was using the ultralith system minus the amino's for the SPS for a while and just recently switched back to phosban with just dosing the LPS addative. All i did was every few days dose the bacteria for the media and it lowered my Po4. And i didn't have to do water changes for a month sometimes and everything was fine (although they helped) But your nutrients tend to build up as does overpopulation of bacteria in the water.

Anyways since i switched to phosban i realized how overstocked my tank is as far as waste goes. They work on breaking down PO4 and stuff but you still have to do the same 1-2week water changes and more maintenance to keep up with dosing/ect.

Its really the same if your adding some type of bacteria to aid in nutrient export or doing the basic maintenance/husbandry. Your still going to have to do water changes every week to a month max and keep up with media changes and dosing.

I wouldn't waste your money on either of the ones you listed.

Oh and ive been using the ultralith system and just by dosing the media with bacteria/bacterial food was i able to drop both nitrates and Po4 alot pretty much overnight. But the first and second items he posted will do what you said and make the system freak out.

yeah i fugred as much tosiek, but i have been researching the prodibio on several of their thing's and seem to be impressed. still thinking of building a denitrater, was really thinking of using this kit
