Sumpless Tank

for those who have sumpless reef tanks..how do you deal with the surface skimming?

A good hang on back skimmer.

I myself go back and forth on with sump and without sump. When I'm sumpless I use a hang on back skimmer and a regular whisper 60 that runs my filter media (phosban, nitrate absorbtion etc). When I am using the sump I have an insump skimmer, filter sock filled with goodies and chaeto/mangroves another sandbed with oolithic sand.

im using an aqua c remora, but without the box...

i'm using the remora WITH the prefilter skimmer box. and it works really well =)

Just get the pre-filter box, it shouldnt be too expensive and will rid your worries of surface skimming
