Hello board
I decided to get my water tested by the company above and here are my experiences.
1. You send your sample via USPS which I did on a saturday and I got the results back on Tuesday evening via email. Impressive.
2. The cost is not insignificant. $40.00 for a complete test. I suppose it compares favorably with getting a Hanna if you only want a one time reading.
Here is the picture of the tank still going through a decrease in algae (from what it used to be now that I use RO water only-ways to go)
Here are some of their readings for my sample
Ammonia 0.003mg/l
Nitrite 0.005mg/L
Nitrate 0.6mh/L (they say this is good???)
Alkalinity 2/98m meq/L (they say this is good)
Ca 195 mg;L (low)
Phosphate 0.03mg/L (they say this is good???)
They dont do pH but it was 8.4 the day I mailed the sample in
They had other readings too SR, BO,I,MB,CO, SI all within "normal' range.
Any suggestions from you guys? Be nice please...I am only a hobbyist trying to do the right thing......
