More questions:

I have a BIG TEMP digital therm in my nano. It is supposed to give the external/internal temp(room/tank). It also has an alarm incase of a chiller malfunction and the temperature increase drastically or lowers(which happened with my first chiller!!it got down to 53 degrees overnight...constant chilling!!!)However, recently the internal temp shoots up and down very irregularly. From a constant 78 to 82.5 or 83, then drops back to 78 in a matter of seconds. I have a floating glass therm which I have been using since this has been happening to see if it was truly a malfunction or a seriouls problem. It registers a constant 78 on it.
Any thoguths on digital thermometers and a good one to own? Or why mine is doing this?

NavyNano212, I personally employ redundance in my Aquarium setup and have 3 seperate Digital Thermometers with their sensor grouped together in order to rule out any false readings. Their simply $5.00 digital thermometers but they all display similar reading or with minimal varience. I cannot recommend a specific manufacturer but can say in confidence that having more then one piece of equipment do the same job is usually helpful.
