Im new here and would like to greet you all.
Been reading a lot of post and have found them helpful.Been on other sites but this one is close by and the members well educated.

I am running a 5gal tank(i think its best to start small):help:. After a lot of learning, investigation and great water parameters i fianlly got some frags. My tank has been running for about 6 months. It cycled pretty well and got a clean up crew going. i finally intoduced varios zoa and want to know if colonies can be put close together. They all came on frags of live rock and in order to correctly remove and reposition them i want to know if close proximaty will be a problem as they grow??

Welcome. Its not often that I see a smaller tank than mine (10 gallon). Nice to see that you have it up 6 months. Sounds nice. If you stick to zoas you should be fine. There are enough color combinations so that it will always be interesting. Just do not mix in other corals, that's when the trouble really starts.

Might be best off to break the rock if it's not too thick, otherwise you may damage the zoas. Do be sure to wear gloves & eye protection while handling them, some folks are highly allergic to paly toxin. (zoas and palys look very similar and can't tell what you specifically have with no pics)

Please do post a pic of the tank if possible :)
