Hey All, so I have my tank up with a ton of rock. I have a bunch of small pieces that add up to 150 pounds. Here is my issue. I am doing a FO tank. My partner has a reef tank already set up so I'm doing this. However I believe that I did it wrong. I have some rocks touching the top of the glass. I also have about 2'' of room in the back. Here are my questions.

How much rock should be in a FO tank?
Is it okay to have any rock touching the sides of the glass even at the top?

I'm not getting big fish and it is also going to be a while until then. My tank has only been up a month. So yea... help!!!!!!!!!!

my tank is 55 gallons. I'm not looking to put a lot of fish in just some that I know aren't reef safe, most fish I would put in is 6 with some crabs.

The tank may be 55 gallons but with all that rock you will not have quite a bit less than 55 gallons of water. Nothing wrong with that but keep in mind how much water there is when figuring on how much fish you can support. Also it make good hiding places for fish that like to hide but it eliminates swim space for those that need room to roam.
