I have a 29 gallon Bio cube. And Im not sure how many hours I am supposed to leave the day time lights on for and the night time lights on for.

The tank has been up and running for about 2 weeks now and I noticed today that I have brown algae growing on my rocks and also my glass. not to sure if it is on the sand or not being its black. I bought this tank from another member here and they had the tank running for one to two months. I kept the same sand and water, Just moved it to my house.

I hope someone can offer me some help.

I have a damsel and a few feeder shrimps in this tank along with some hermit crabs and snails. 3 mushrooms and a kenya tree.

I have a 29 gallon aquapod with pc lighting I run 9 hours total lighting. Tank is 10 months old. Lighting will depend on the corals you decide to keep.

Brown on the glass and rock possibly diatoms you may be going through a small cycle.

:)Just my opinion but it sounds like the tank is going through a cycle. Even though you moved water and sand there will be some die-off. I don't think the lights are the problem. Get a cleaner magnet to keep the glass clean and the rocks will most likely clear themselves up
