Pacific rock is more poreous and better for nitrification carribean is more dense and better for denitrification. A mix of both would be best for your tank. Pacific rock looks the best. If it were me I would buy all of it from Tampa Bay Saltwater.
One of my reef books...."The Complete Book Of The Marine Aquarium" by Vincent B. Hargreaves says and I quote from page 39 under tips....."When choosing live rock, select only pieces that are porous and have good surface area for bacteria to colonize. Inspect it, smell it, and weigh it in your hand - if it feels relatively light then it is likely to be good. Some of the rock from the Indo-Pacific is quite dense and is unsuitable, since it does not produce a good biological reaction in the aquarium. If it feels heavier than it should, don't buy it. The best rock seems to be that from the Red Sea, East Africa, and the Caribbean. Much of the material is very porous, sometimes knobbly and encourages good reef construction"
The less dense it is the more surface area there is available for bacteria to colonize. Tampa Bay Saltwater rock comes in with tons of life on it, but it is almost as dense as concrete.
I much prefer Fiji, tonga, marshal islands, Kaelini.
