When Do I Start Using My PhosBan Reactor?

i just started my 29 Gal reef perhaps a week ago. i would like to know when i should run my Phosban Reactor?

When should i start dosing Calcium for my reef too?

And Skimming?

I would run GFO (phosban) from the start.

I would skim as soon as possible.

Calcium, you should be testing for and dosing accordingly until you figure out how much your tank needs.

Should'nt the tank cycle through before he starts running the reactor i know the brown algae is part of the cycle and the reactor might probably erase it, do'nt hate me for asking guy's

It is not really part of "cycling" as it has nothing to do with breaking down ammonia, nitrites and Nitrates.

It is part of what is referred to as the "algae cycle", which is a cycle of different type of algae that routinely pop up in new tanks (but not always). There is no harm, and might even be desirable, to skip as much of that as possible.

What types of corals are you going to keep? Also you have to check your alk to keep it in balance with the calcium.

beginner corals like xenia and shrooms, i really like dendros too so maybe some LPS

Phosban in my opinion wastes too quickly.I prefer Rowaphos.My 2 cents.

Rowaphos r suppose to b more potent which is y they cost more. ie weight/$
