
Should'nt the tank cycle through before he starts running the reactor i know the brown algae is part of the cycle and the reactor might probably erase it, do'nt hate me for asking guy's
Phosban in my opinion wastes too quickly.I prefer Rowaphos.My 2 cents.
It is not really part of "cycling" as it has nothing to do with breaking down ammonia, nitrites and Nitrates.
It is part of what is referred to as the "algae cycle", which is a cycle of different type of algae that routinely pop up in new tanks (but not always). There is no harm, and might even be desirable, to skip as much of that as possible.
