Is this normal??

Another newbee question!! I looked in my tank before and this shroom was excreting something ..Looked like thin spagetti and a clear type slime that is still attached to the center of the shroom..Is it on the way out?? This is the best pic I can get of it

Sounds like it is stressing over something. Recheck your water parameters and if everything is fine, don't worry too much about it. Often they reabsorb them and live goes on...
Are there any corals right within a few inches of inches of it that might be stinging it..if so, what kind are they?

I had moved it because it fell over last night.. It just let the stream of slime go.It was showing some green at the end of the slime..Nothing is close enough to sting it.. I'll keep n eye on it for sure!! Thanxxx Kathy

It must have release something organic,my skimmer just went nuts and filled up with clear water..

It shouldn't have had an effect that strong!

The skimmer was over flowing with clear water.I turned it down to the lowest I can and it's still skimming alolt ,but not over flowing

from the looks of the pic and the reaction your skimmer had. It could possibly be a spawning event?

nah it flipped over its stressed should be fine the hairy shrooma are normaly very hardy
