Green Algae?

How do I get green algae off my live rock. I am not using RO/DI yet the unit is in process of me getting one.

Wouldn't the water changes continue to add algae feeding nutrients to his tank?

Water changes with RO/DI water...

snails, snails, and more snails... Big ones...

If you arent getting an RODI unit for a while check this out if you are handy, http://www.livestockusa.org/ look under making a water filter. $20 & some do it yourself handiwork & it will tide you over. (never tried it though).......

I tried it, there are still phosphates, the water filter doesn't have enough contact time. This may work if you use it with a small water pump and have the water keep going through the filter over and over for some time but seriously just get a RODI.
