getting rid of Asterina Starfish

i have 100,s of this star fish started to see some corals die.where they are dieing i see starfish,is there a way to get rid of them safty.so i dont hurt anything in the tank.i dont want to pick them out one by one.anything eat them.i sen so were something eats them. thanks

If you have no other starfish you can get a harlequin shrimp. They eat them pretty voraciously. But after you get rid of the asterinas you have to feed the harley starfish or it will starve to death

The Harleys usually don't bother with Brittle Stars, not sure why but mine & my Harley are doing just fine together..so far.

Are you sure the corals are dying due to the starfish or could it be that the startfish are taking advantage of algae growing on the dying corals and eating that? As a rule the asterinas won't eat all kinds of corals, just select types.
Any issues in the tank..algae? Tank parameters?

Harlequins will do the job, just be sure to feed them chocolate chip stars once the asterinas are done, chocos are cheap and I have read that the shrimp don't need to be fed that often.

so do the Harloquins just eat a little bit of the choco and save the rest for later? does the star fish live through all of this snacking?

I have heard that and I have heard that they just eat the whole thing and aren't hungry for a long time afterwards.

umm from my own personal experience, i have 2 harlys that get along with 2 peppermints. i would stay away from CBS because of their claws. cleaners should be ok too

Hey Tom..my Harley is in with my cleaners, fireshrimp and peppermints and all happily live together.
I wouldn't dare put a Harley in my other tank with my Banded Coral Shrimp..he's shred every kind of shrimp I've put in there..
..didn't try Harleys though, they cost too much!

I kinda figured the CBS wouldn't be good but didn't know about the others. I gotta get me a harley... I've been trying to find them for the past week and no one has them
