i have an outbreak of aiptasia, at least 50. many are hard to get. ive used joe's juice, blue vet aiptasia control, im using aiptasia-x but red sea as we speak. is there anything else i could do. i also hav 3 pepermint shimp but they dont seem to care for them. there getting out of controll

pull the rock out and blast it with kalkwasser then rinse very well and put back, i have used boiling water with a needle and injected and it worked as well as using purple up and injecting,

also...there are a few fish that eat aptiasia...like the "copper (banded butterfly fish)", I think that is the name...its late and im drunk...but it really help in my tank....eat all but one of the bigger aptaisia....the peppermints I had would eat everything...zoas...acans...snails...they destroyed stuff that I liked!!!!

Phil...if they ate all of those things you ended up with Camelback shrimp and not peppermints..they look a lot alike! :(

i have over 70 of them so i decided to buy B. nudibraches i bought 6 of them and one has already laid a ring of eggs, lets see if they do their job. hopefully my wrasse dont eat them

kill them now be4 they r everywhere, ie tank,overflow,sump,etc...
getting something to eat them is a gamble. usually a bad gamble.
if they r only on rocks, remove the corals, get the rock out n kill. (even replace the rock if u have to) it may seem lots of work now. but thats nothing cause if the aiptas gets hold of everything, the only way of getting rid of them is redoing the whole reef.
