Harlequin Shrimp & Starfish

I picked up my first Harlequin, its fully acclimated and I've noticed it actively on my rocks last night when feeding my tank with cyclopeeze. Wow its so beautiful. I also picked up a Chocolate Chip strfish bc I was told it only eats starfish. For now I have it QT in my tank in a small container where water flows into it. The star looks cool, but in a month or two when the shrimp finishes eating all my mini stars, I'll have to cut up my CC starfish. I was wondering how do you guys cut your stars? Will a scissor do? or will I need to apply a coral cutter to cut a small piece? It sounds so painful but it'll grow back ..

I just used to throw the whole star in and my Harley would be all over it in a matter of minutes.
