Sump Suggestions Please???

I just ordered a Oceanic Tech 120. Does anyone have a paticular brand & size sump that they could reccomend for this size tank? Any particular brand better than others? I've been told Precision Marine is good, any thoughts?

it depends on what type of equip me plan to house.if your going in sump fuge.also you want a fuge large enough that when your pumps shut off you dont have a flood from water draining out

Few vendors make/sell them also. And if you want to go and save yourself some cash, have time on your hands and know what your doing with "DIY" projects you can drill and baffle a AGA tank or something.

Its really based on what your using it for though. if its gonna hold some extra equipment and provide some extra water volume or if its gonna be a sump/fuge or something else. All depends on how fancy you want it.

The rule as it has been told to me re: gallonage is that to use the largest sump you can fit under your tank. The larger the tank, the greater the water volume and the more room you have to work.

Duke's sump looks like a good match for your tank. That's assuming your skimmer and pump will fit in it.

I would like to house a Euro-reef 135 protein skimmer and a phos ban reactor and an in sump fuge. I plan on doing an external pump but not sure which one yet.

well ilke i said i had a euroreef 135 ,phosban,and internal pump even though it has a bulk head for retuen,a heater,fuge area,carbon chamber.pm me if ur interested.

Not always true. What if you intend on running an external skimmer, Ca Reactor, Chiller, etc... where is all going to go?

That's true - i guess, the largest you can put under your sump and still have room for anything else.

So make sure you own all your equipment first, then plan the sump around that.
