Filteration question

Can someone please advise how long I will be able to go without any filtration?

I will be doing my upgrade this week and am estimating that I may have to go with out a sump for a day. Which means that I will be going with out a skimmer, carbon, GFO for that period of time.

The bio-load consist for a about 8 small fish, about 10 frags (5 SPS, rest are leathers and mushrooms), 80# of live rock, 80# of sand.

As long as you kep flow in your tank, you can go 2-3 days, maybe longer. I went 2-3 days, no problem with about the same bio load in a 72.
Be sure you have surface agitaion or throw in a airstone

I just upgraded my filtration to a refugium w/ sump and had no filtration on the tank for a couple of days. Just keep circulation and let the natural filter work.

You might want to hook something up to run carbon bc you have leathers

To maximise your chances of success i'd advise cutting out feeding for the day prior to your upgrade. A day without food wont hurt the fish and it will help reduce the amount of waste put back into the system whilst the main filtration is offline.

But as others have said, keep circulation up and surface agitation going whilst the sump and skimmer are offline otherwise a falling pH may be more of an issue.
