MH lights

if i have a fixture for MH 2x175w/ VHO 2x110w and and later on i want to upgrade to MH 2x250w would i be able to or woul i need to buy a whole new fixture?

You will have to get a new fixture. What type of fixture do you have?

i can just get another light fixture thats not as expensive, like t5's to match up with the same thing as getting MH 2x250 in addition to having my old fixture (2x175w MH/VHO 2x110)so i dont have to get another fixture for MH? ..right?

I think the sockets are diff and the ballasts ARE diff... but depending on the fixture, you might be able to DIY something. Those would be the 2 main items to change
