one of our members have it and my ? is how can you tell u have it in your tank and what does it look like: dinoflagellate; and i dont mean at a microscopic level. how do someone get these and how to avoid it. thanks
It looks like something slimy that has a air bubble at the tip of it. It can come in diffrent colors but most people get it in the brown form. I can say when i got it my sand look like it had a bunch of strings plus it breaks apart and hanged on corals. There are two reasons how people get it because bleaching of corals due to extreme temperatures or a major swing in tank chemistry. Here is some links with more info
Well not many members experince dinos i never knew about it till i got it so hard to answer questions when you don't know what it is. Plus many people don't really know the cause of it
