I'll only comment about the one I've used, the Bermuda Rogue. Loved it.

Where were you in the lower Catskills? I spent a lot of time in Ellenville and Monticello. I live in Orange County.

Welcome to MR and enjoy your stay.

Welcome to the MR family!!

My second PS was and still is: Multi Turboflotor 1000, very versatile and works great....... I still have this skimmer (8yrs.+) it is now running on my 120 fowlr. I also now run a euro reef skimmer on my 155 reef and I say both skimmers work just as well. The difference is that the turbo can be HOB, in or out of sump where as the ER can only be in sump.;)

I have a turboflotor 1000 multi as well, it is a superb skimmer, you need to empty and wash the cup every 1-2 days. I have it on my 180G and the skimmate is disgusting.

Bob, as you must know, these are good parameters, however, not nearly enough information.

You say you run a refugium. What do you keep in it? What hours do you run the lights?

Do you dose your tank? If so, with what?
What salt do you use?
What is your Ca level?
Your Mg level?
Your SG?
What test kits do you use? Standard titration Phosphate test kits are relatively worthless. The best hobbyist grade PO4 test is the Hanna Photometer. No tank truly has zero PO4. The Photometer will prove that.

I am using a simple test kit and I dont dose the tank. I will try finding the kit you recomend. In the refugium I have live sand, live rock rubble and I just bought some salt water plants. BTW I am using Instant Ocean salt but soon asI run out I will try either Oceanic or Seachem. Do you have any other recommendations.
