I had bought rock from a friend and he told me that he had a crab in his tank that he knew about but was never able to get it out and after about 1 month of the rock being in my tank i have spotted the crab.. i did some research on it and found out that it is a gorilla crab which i know are bad crabs to have in a tank.. So ..before I take down my rock to get to the rock (which is all the way on the bottom) that he specifically hides in i wanted to find out if there is a any kind of trap for a crab similar to the trap for fishes? Or if there is anything else i can do without taking down half the rock in my tank?... i've read about using an extension claw that are normally used to grab screws that have fallen in tiny areas and i am wondering if that will work.. but if any of you guys have any other better ideas please tell me!!

get a mason jar and a 20oz Pepsi bottle
cut the Pepsi bottle 1/3 down leaving a funnel type shape
invert it in the mason jar( bottle top in the jar) remove the seal cap from the mason jar and put the screw ring on securing the bottle top in jar
tie a piece of fishing line around the jar( to remove from tank)
bait the trap with a piece of food shrimp clam etc
set the trap after you shut the lights
worked within an hour for me

I set the trap 3 consecutive nights caught another unidentified crab
