About a month ago i purchased a coralife pure-flo II ro/di unit
100 gpd 3-stage w/pump from dr fostersmith
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+4395+12093&pcatid=12093
Two days ago it just died out on me. i tried all the trouble shooting but it wouldn't work.
I call drfostersmith customer service and talk about great service.
I was 4 days from 60 days. :Yikes:
They said they would send me a brand new one. But my question is do i stay with this unit or do i get a different one? i wasn't too impressed with this ro unit. Does anyone have a recommendation for a different kind of unit?

thanks!

I don't understand when you say died out.Why do you need a pump?Is it because you have low water presure.I have the Maxxima DI.50gad the advantage is you can use the water for drinking and cooking as well the disadvantage is it waste water but i use it for my fish only tanks and watering my plants.

When I said it died out I meant that it stopped working. Water doesn't come out from filtered end. Just comes out of waste end.
Has anyone tried buckeyefield supply ro/di units?

I used to have a coralife RO unit similar to the one that you have and I hated it. It never gave me 0 tds water and it was a pain to change out the filters.
So I decided to the trash the coralife unit and then I bought a RO/DI unit from Bulkreefsupply.com. It was one of the best buys I have made. It always gives me 0 tds and is really easy to setup. They have great customer service and they always have great deals especially if you buy in bulk. I would definitely recommend buying from them.

Mightymite is the ish!!!

I recently ordered the mightymite, this was probably the easiest thing to put together...literally took me 2 minutes, :iamwithstand it easily stores anywhere its like a foot by 8 inches(I keep it under my sink).

I have a 12 gallon nano cube and a 26 gallon bow front....I use it to top off the bow front and for water changes on the cube. My water's TDS ranged from 50ppm to 150ppm and the mightymite gets them to 0 (always).

I run cold water through it and though it is estimated to make 50gpd I think it's more like 75-100gpd...

So if your tank is less than 50 gallons I recommend the mightymite...and its only cost a little over a $100!!!
