setting up a chiller

hey guys.. i just had a couple questions on how to set up my chiller.. i have a 1/4 parcific coast chiller and a quiet one 300 pump..just a little confused on how to do this

Is the chiller the CL- 650 model? And is the quiet One pump the 3000?

its the 600 and yah its the quiet one 3000

Well it seems to be a perfect match other than the connections being a different size. Are you having trouble or just unsure what to do?

I would run the Quiet one pump in your sump and run the return from the chiller back into the sump. Keep the chiller out in the open next to the tank. That model relies a lot on ambient room temperature to work. Good circulation of air is a must.

yah.. i read about that so it is in the open on the side of my tank.. would it be easier to just buy another return pump?

is it safe to put the water that was just in the chiller directly into the overflow area.. im putting it where i used to put my return pump tube

guys.. i rlly need to know this quick because i have to set it up.. its here sitting in my room and my temp is 81

I'm not entirely sure what it is you are asking. If you can show us a diagram next time you're in, I'd be happy to help you figure it out. As for the tank hitting 81, I wouldn't be worried yet. The wild average is 82 and change which means from there you have some wiggle room up and down. Quick changes even within the accepted range can kill stuff faster than a slow climb into the higher temps. It sounds like you are over complicating the installation but if you can illustrate your idea I'd be able to help you better.
