I was told some Wrasses as well as Sea Horses may eat P.Snails.
Anyone have any experience on this subject ??

What Wrasses would do it ??
Thanks,

That is a dumb-ass answer scarf. Think it through..

Maybe I like Wrasses or Sea-horses. I once had an Emerald wrasse that kept Zoanthis eating nudi's in check, after that he eat anything.

you are right. my answer was a dumb ass one. i wasn't more specific. it's just that there are tons of newbees here and they may get the wrong idea.

best of luck with your decision

The only success I have had with getting wrasses to eat Pyramid snails is to leave the tank dark for a few days, it kind of tricks them into coming out into the open when the wrasses were out. But it is hit or miss because you have to turn the lights on after some time and you can never get them all. Manual removal is best.

I had P snails...any clam I introduced would die within 3 weeks. I no longer have P snails(atleast not that I can see), and my clams are doing great!
I dont believe any wrasses fight, but I may be wrong.
I have many wrasse(BOLD=very helpful, Underlined=Maybe helpful)
a)Lineatus
b)Pink Margin
c)Mystery
d)Christmas Wrasse
e)Yellow coris
f)Melanurus

I hope this helps

I used to get pyramidellid snails on my Astrea's...but after a series of small wrasses they are all gone...haven't been seen in years (and my clams are thriving). Why a series of wrasses? I can't keep the damn things in the tank! I only have a very narrow space that they can jump out of, along part of one side of the tank...but eventually they always go for it.....
