right now they are only eggs not much to see.and as new borns they're smaller then a pinky nail so there isn't much details to them.

Rough guess would be early/mid next week but the hatch window is afew weeks long so cud b sooner or longer.

As far as holding them,I will be selling them then aswell but they do cost more because of the added care as new borns aswell as the extra tanks required so they don't fight

They're usually kept in a species tank.sometimes with non stinging coral.they usually will go after fish/iverts.triggers and puffers are definitely out as they would likely eat the cuttles

really cool. some words of advice to potential buyers (not poopooing this thread): if you are planning on buying these please don't just buy them on a whim, they require a species specific tank and a very attentive owner for the first weeks of life. please look up Rich Ross's article on raising them and check out tonmo.com for more information or you will end up killing some really special animals. I have been planning a dwarf cuttlefish tank for some time but don't have the eggs I want yet, I am going with a system plumbed into my sump due to the fact these cuttles require pristine water conditions and are messy eaters... if you have trouble keeping your parameters in your reef or can't set up a species specific tank this is probably not for you.

hey mike, yes you can as long as you give them enough room.

Reefprobe, they are harder then fish to keep but much easier then octopus.some cuttles are harder to keep such as flamboyants.but these guys are pretty hardy.they get a bum rap because they are very poor shippers.if they ink in the bag it is almost certain death because the ink has no where to go or be filtered out.

Roger, ill pm you.

James you are correct but the water quality isn't as critical as most people think.if you can keep an lps/softie reef you should have no problem keeping these guys.some of the other cuttle species are alittle more demanding.you should have a skimmer running and atleast have carbon ready to use if not using it 24/7 just incase of an inking.the first week is the hardest if you have a fuge or sump with pods you'll be ok they will chow on them happily.just make sure the intakes are all. Covered.or. a bottle of arctic pods usually will do the trick just fine.

All pms are responded to, if I missed yours I apologize my phone is alittle spastic
