After six months of harvesting aiptasia and isolating them in a breeder box in my system... I was able to start a berghia nudi breeding program.

These guys are itty-bitty, but all it takes is two or three big aiptasia for each one to feed on to make them grow to about breeder sized. I would recommend buying in pairs so you can get them to breed and eliminate the aiptasia in your system. They're hermaphroditic, so as long as you have more than one, they'll breed. Please only buy these if you have an aiptasia INFESTATION, not just one or two peeking out of your rocks.

They will be picked on by wrasses and butterflies, and possibly other invert-hungry fish. Cleaner shrimp may munch on them as well.

If you have a large enough tank to keep a breeder box in, I would recommend isolating the nudis in there with some aiptasia so you can watch them grow and breed... Then let their babies loose in a few weeks to annihilate the aiptasia in your system.

$15 each, pick up only! I'll reduce the price down by $1 for each living aiptasia that you bring me.
Each nudi can be reduced as low as $10... But this offer is only good on a limited number, because I can't have too many aiptasia.

Look closely in the pic, there's the breeding adults and about ten babies, plus egg strands in there.

I was wondering, how to you collect the aptasia? I've probably got hundreds in my tank, but they all pop out a couple of hours after lights out. Do you pull them off with tweasers or cut them with sissors? I don't think I'll be able to remove them from the rocks in large enough parts to feed the little slugs, before their big enough to release into the main tank.

I only bother collecting aiptasia that i can scrape off of glass with a razor, or aiptasia that grows on chaeto that I can easily pull apart. Anything inside a rock will be near impossible to get in one piece.

Got a nasty hand infection that landed me in the hospital over the weekend... so I won't be around to sell Berghias for a few days. Probably gunna do another "cut your own frag swap" when i get home since I've gotta keep my hands away from the tank til I'm all healed up. I'll post again here when they let me out of the hospital.
