nope just called credit card company they said once a pending charge is there they can not do anything until it post onto the account which i find very dumb

You guys have his email address and presumably his home address and name (via paypal if his account is verified it should be accurate), if you have problems getting your money back. I would contact his local PD. Also, perhaps the admins here can help you out with his IP information.

In pms he told me he'd sell me one of the MP40s for 260, then posted a price of 250 in his thread. Said he'd ship on Friday but wanted payment immediately. I didn't hear back from him when I said I wouldn't be paying him immediately. The warning bells were loud.

Crazy how people can take advantage of others we all have family's and work day to day to support and with the little money we get for our selves we gotta worry about people like this stealing from us.. Just hope my credit card helps me out we being paid back

Maybe we need to start making use of the rating option (in the browser version) on marketplace threads so people can flag suspect postings without having to come into a thread and scream scam... which would have seemed in poor taste since this one was talking about his "wife" having cancer. Or maybe a simple anonymous positive/negative option on marketplace threads to flag suspected scams. It would also be nice if there were an option for this on the mobile versions.
