saying i wont get power until wednesday lmao. lipa is a joke. i got bubblers from cryptics, i have more gas i am not even bothering selling i am going for it. its either i save the tank or i sell the corals last minute and i sell the equipment. will see how it goes. sorry if i wasted anyones time with the thread i just couldn't make my mind up with what i wanted to do. and i want to just go for it

I'm on the same boat man.. This blows.. My skimmer was shorted out and running generator.. We put too much into this.. Holding on till the end!

i just did a water change, we got this dude stick with it. to avoid that issue i always unplug certain equipment the reason why it shorts out is because when we restart our generators it still carrys that huge load on it. if you unplug things and then run the generator and slowly plug things back in you should be able to avoid that issue. really sorry man!

supposedly gas wont be an issue after tuesday and my dad offered to pay for the gas untill the power goes back on SO HAPPY!! i hope i make it

yea i already got gas, gas isnt an issue for me now. but my generator is old and seems to be crapping out does anyone have one that can lend me one if mine bites the dust?

I have a generator you can use. I tried for gas this morning like we talked about, but had no local luck so I gave up. The generator still has about 3/4 tank full and was bought brand new last year after Irene. It's 3500W.

drove all the way to northport to pick up a generator, got a ticket on the way there turbo hooked me up big time got home. my generator started running again i just cant catch a **** break i think i am going to use turbos generator specifically for my tank its a newer one and i dont think it will surge as much as my old one does. if i lose any of my equipment id be tapped. how sensitive is lights and an mp40 to damage from a surge? the mp40 is the only pump i have i sold all my others.

i know im a little late but if you're worried about the syrge just use a surge protector but i used my mp40 and my t5s on my generator no problem with no surge protector...just make sure you have it at the right throttle speed before plugging in
