**Full disclosure, there is a missing screw where the body of the skimmer and base come together. This does not affect the skimmer performance at all.

Also there is an occasional start-up issue with the skimmer pump when powering on but its easy to remediate by blowing into the air intake of the pump (air silencer).

i don't know what you mean. But I had this skimmer and sump comfortably supporting my 75G tank. This was the biggest sump i could fit in my stand.

i would say the best thing to do is to see if the current skimmer you are running will be able to work based on how the sump is configured.

I always looked at the sump as a place to keep all the filtering equipment that would typically occupy the tank.

Wow how many days worth of skimmate is that? I can't get my SWC to do that. It doesn't skim dark at all. Maybe something isn't right with mine? Don't mean to derail your thread but I figured I would ask.

Updated post with pics of the skimmer fresh off a vinegar bath.

Also pointed out where the missing screw is. As you can see it should not effect the performance of the skimmer at all.
