its more for fish only tank so yeah did not need it as i already purchased a sump and need to pay for a return pump.

Can you explain to me the difference between this and a sump? Can't you put live rock instead of bioballs in there and it will not trap nitrates?

I mean if you can find a way to mod it into a sump then go ahead. If you are good with doing that then by all means go ahead. Me I am no good with things like that
