Albano I hear you and I like you so don't want to get into debates or deviate from the topic but at times I feel like that is the point.
I do hope the OP reports the user and if story checks out then the seller should be banned for such a crappy act. I have transported tanks in my truck a ton of times and never broke one, tanks don't break easily period, from reading this, it simply sounds like the OP was taken. Tanks break from impact, large rocks being slammed and I mean slammed, frozen glass when met with hot water that kind of stuff.
I am also not going to report anyone as you point out, unless it personally affects me or it affects one of the real people I have met thus far, my post in some other thread about stealth sellers is because I was accused of trying to pull a fast on mods when I was simply using a Reefs app that is not working properly and yet that same mod expressed interest in a 210 or 220 gallon tank from a known stealth seller, Rick's "employee", who "breaks down" his tank every 4 months and you all know who I am referring to.
Stealth selling does not bother me, its not my board nor my revenue to be concerned with, its the singling out and unethical behavior, if board rules are going be enforced then some need to get their ethics and priorities in order.
Back to the OP's problem, the board should do something about this seller, suspend his IP address for a year or ban him altogether, not cool to sell a busted tank in a deceitful way.

That sucks just the $ /time to pick up a lg tank like that u need to get help suction cups ... That's sucks I bought my tank used and if it leaked after I got it in my basement I would have had a fit!!
So this is the other side if the story.
I responded to someone looking for a 150 cube, saying I have a tank that leaks along with a canopy and a water damaged stand. Jeromey pmed me and set up a day to come look at the tank , I clearly showed him the water damaged stand and explained to him the tank was leaking just not sure where , I wiped all the sawdust away from the seams. I told him I did not advertise it for sale and he can inspect it all he wants, as soon as he saw the build date he said he wanted it, at first he wanted the stand and would come back for the tank , I said it's not in my way, take as long as you need to get the stand canopy and tank out, he opted for taking the tank, a week later he showed up and took the remaining stand and canopy . Ok tony. First off, this thread was intended to sell the tank. Didnt call you out. Not once did i mention your name publicly. A matter of fact i took responsibility on the 2nd post saying it was my fault. But since you commented, i might as well finish.
You told me you got the tank from a friend who owed you money for a stand. He said that it leaks by the bulk heads and that its one of the seals. Ok...easy enough fix. When i got there did i request that you clean the tank for me so i could inspect it? Yes i did. Did you use the shop vac per my request, no. You gave me a rag and some dirty water. K thx.
I picked up the stand after the tank so i could fill it up and test it. The tank is fully warranted for life if you have the stand so i thought it would be best to test it on the stand because i was afraid that something would happen if i filled it without.
After it failed miserably i texted you to get in touch with your "friend" to get some info. At this point i did say what you quoted me saying. But as soon as your friend said the tank has already been claimed by marineland and he got the replacement it was quite apparent that you knew it was more then a bulkhead seal.
After he said, "no store, i am the store, lol" i asked nicely...
Me "Is there any chance you will refund my money"

I put it on Clist to try and resolve this fast. If it went away and i got my money back then i wouldn't have to be bothered by you or this disaster of a transaction.
How could i check the tank at your house? Tank needed bulk heads to be tested. So if i took the stand first how could we test it. What would we put the tank on? Plus, odds of you letting me fill it, slim to none.

I got the set up on trade for a custom set up I built as I'm a stand builder. The tank has perfect silicon, minimally scratches, dual back corner over flows . I was told the tank leaks in one overflow area , the stand is cherry brown factory but water damage on the bottom , the canopy has some holes drilled in the top fir fans, I don't have any bulk heads fir filling and checking, my plan was to make a new stand and canopy and fix the leak, but I'm to busy making stands ?

Im sure you've visually inspected the area. Did you see anything that stuck out? Hw much are you looking to get for it?
im very busy, I did look and could not find anything cut or out of line, it's got some coralline in the back only, might even be star fire ? Come take a look and make me an offer , I'm in Newburgh ny , exit 10 rite of 84 west

Disrespected ? You never said you knowingly bought a leaking tank, that's the only problem here, you wanted a fight and you got one, you never said I ( bought a leaking tank ) from a member here, that's it, just say I jeromey bought a leaking tank , with a waster damage stand
