How do plates reproduce? They bud off a piece?

They bud. Can also reproduce sexually. Suppose they could be fragged too, never tried

I've had plates, bud off 'babies' smaller than a dime...and the only reason I noticed them, was that my decorator urchin had put them on his back!
I did not hand feed the 'mother' colonies
