I also realized that a $50 price tag for a decent unit might be wishful thinking (on my part) which is why I am doubling that amount to $100. However I am looking for a nice unit, not necessarily a new unit, just a unit with good ratings.

Ive got one that works id sell for $50. Ill double check tds ratings. Ive been using it but filters should have some life. I paid $100 off another member than didnt use it much.

I have a new one and I also work in brooklyn its for $130 brand new typhoon 3 5 stage with all plumbing needed

^^ Typhoon is a great unit I own that one as well. Mine works just fine but isn't name brand. My offer still stands but the above is a good deal and good guy to deal with.

I want to thank everyone here for your input. My wife made me a surprise and got me an rodi unit today and had it installed before I got home.
