Our noses weren't ment to be detached and won't grow back if bit off. As the speed the gill regenerated it has to be a trait which developed in it. Similar to iguanas and their tails. I am not saying it is good for it because it has to waste energy to regrow the gills. But it something that it is able to cope with.

I was looking into the nudibrach classification system and it seems they are a type of sea slug. Slugs are classified as shell less gastropods. The whole classification system dealing with that stuff is still being worked out.

The way my face is constructed it will be pretty hard for me to bit my nose. Maybe you can come over and bite it for me.

If Van Goghs ear didn't grow back I would think a nose won't grow back. They are both made of cartilage.

Really sorry but I don't believe you had that nudi for 8 months

No need to be sorry. I will keep it for another 8 months. In February 2015 you can apologize.

I am sorry I lied to you. The nudi died today.
