Motor is awesome - Very strong runs silent and cool. Its running now.

There is a small drip not bad gets a little creep out of the back of the shaft.

$100 takes it. Good for a back up in a pinch or someone that wants to refurb it.

Its a great pump. I have a back up as well. I don't need 2 back ups. For a $100 its an insurance policy. This is the gold - cant even hear the motor run. Its whisper quiet and solid.

Wish mine was quiet like that. A little noisy for my taste but it's in the basement so I don't hear it. What do you think the problem is that it's leaking? What would I have to do to stop the leaking? I'm highly considering this as a back up like you said

I am not sure if it is the shaft or the seal. Honestly the drip is minimal and the salt creep has pretty much stopped it. Like I said its an insurance policy if yours goes down. The pump is the heart of the system. Especially when dealing with a sump in the basement. The motor is SOLID.
