Engineer Gobies are very reefsafe provided your rock structure is resting on the bottom of the sand and not on top of it. They dig around and have been known to make rock structures collapse. They become about 1 foot long as adults.

That being said, they are awsome fish with lots of character. I have 2 in my tank now and absolutly enjoy having them.

Hey all. Here are hopefully, some answers:
I have had the gobies for about a year. I only have a 20g tank, so they are getting a little big. 2 of them are about 6" long, one 5". NEVER have they gone anywhere near my corals. They just dig around under the rock, and swim around the tank.

The clown fish is actually getting pretty big. He is about 4"-5", although too feisty to swim past the ruler I tried using next to the tank :) VERY hardy fish. He has also, never, molested any of my corals.
