I have a 28g nano. Those lights are good for it or no?

Everything is avail. Light will work on any tank 24-36" depending on how it's mounted.

So the hood for the tank would have to be taken off? How did you have mounted

The light is attached to brackets on the wall [2 - 9" L brackets i believe] the Acryclic casing is very clean work and simply sits on it. hard to explain but its very clean and aesthetically pleasing.
