IME....i had 3 of these guys (yes a hood is a must because i lost two to carpet surfing and one time there was a real small opening it found). I had clown gobies and a flaming prawn goby that went in my eels home and it totally left them alone. If you feed your eel 2-3 times a week it will never bother anything.....i cant speak for anyone else. Definitely a beautiful animal glws.

i happen to agree with frankie, most of the people who had these eels and kept them fed at least 3 times a week never had any issues and theres a few reefers that have them in their coral and fish dominated reef tanks. im willing to give this guy a try. not many reef safe eels out there besides the tiny garden eels variety which i already have that live in the sand bed so all you ever see is their heads popping out. theres a lot of you tube clips with the Hawaiian Yellow Dwarf Eel in reef tanks that leave everything alone.

Lol.... You probably saw my videos. I put up a few educational videos on youtube. It comes down if you starve an animal, its gonna hunt to eat.. Just nature. imo i believe that the dwarf eel is a scavanger by nature. It rather get that easy meal than to catch prey. They have excellent sense of smell and poor eye sight for a reason.
