I bought this originally as a Vega, and in mid January 2015 bought the Hydra 52 upgrade. If you haven't done the upgrade, you should know that aside from the enclosure and the fan, everything inside is brand new, including the power supply. I've been running this with the AI director without issue.

Light Only - $400
Light + Director - $450

One exception, I purchased a new light that hasn't arrived yet, but I'm hoping to get it this weekend. I won't be able to ship this light until the new light is in place. Unfortunately this also limits the photos I can take at the moment. This is what I have. I can assure you when I take the unit off the mounts I will clean it inside and out, just like I do every few months with all of my equipment. My equipment is well taken care of.

Any questions please drop me a line.

Thanks!
Dustin

Is this light sufficient for a 48 inch long tank? Not sure if the shadowing in the picture is due to camera or are two units more appropriate?

Definitely need two. I have one on a 36" and it's not quite sufficient for SPS. I had it raised before, about 12" higher and it covered the tank well at that point. Did fine with LPS and Zoas. But if you want some good PAR you'd need another one.

Right now I have Chinese LEDs set up on a 26 bow mixed reef but am in the process of upgrading to a 90 (have the tank, just securing all the right equipment prior to the swap). The Chinese LEDs actually have been working extremely well, and I own 2 units that could cover the 90...but I think I want to upgrade to a newer single large LED unit.

Ah, makes sense...I bought a used Orphek from a guy on MR. Haven't received it yet, but given its 24" in length it's going to be much better. However I'm not even sure that unit would be large enough for you. Maybe checkout the maxspect or reef breeder photons. The reefbreeders.com has a 60" unit and mexspect has a 43.5" unit. I think the reefbreeders have a bit more PAR from what I've read. There is a guy name Vio on here who I believe has one.
