The Reef Octopus CR 140 Calcium Reactor is a reactor chamber that contains crushed skeleton of ancient hard corals and Magnesium rock. When the water in your tank goes in contact with these elements, they become loaded with Ca and Mg, just enough to maintain a healthy aquarium. It features reverse flow water so that water and CO2 will have more contact time with the coral media.
