FT- 24" 250w mh/led combo fixture

Hey MR, I was very excited about this fixture but its not going to work out for me. Its just way to much light for what I need on my 40 breeder $130 paypal to hold

I just finished it but I need to replace it with something else asap. I'm located in NJ but I'm willing to ship

I gutted the fixture, painted it and replaced the 2 x t5's with 14 royal blue leds from RapidLeds with the Meanwell driver mounted inside the fixture. The 250w m80 ballast is external


-24" AquaVim fixture gutted
-AquaMedic ReefLex M80 ballast
-used 250w Radium bulb
-New 14 x 3w solderless Cree Royal blue leds

Why dont you just keep it for as a backup light.
I hardly see anyone go for mh these days unless the mh is one of those german made Giesemann spectra.

What size tank will this be good up too?

It depends what you're keeping. It's too much for what I'm keeping in the tank I have now. I have a 36" tank. It also depends if it's a shallow or tall tank. It definitely packs a punch tough
