I have 2 Metal Halide systems to trade for Copperband butterflies/ racoon butterflies. One is a 400 watt system complete with a 14,000k XM Bulb.
The other is a 250 watt system with a 14,000K XM Bulb.

Neptune has 1st dibs.

:goldfish2 Hello and Happy Holidays Everyone! Neptune pm'd me 1st and Coral Factory 2nd, I want to keep it fair. I'm looking for Copperband butterflies to take care of my Aiptasia problems!!!
I was going to try Raccoon butterflies, but I'm taking a chance with my corals adding them to my tank.
Of course the size of the fish dictates everything , I'm looking for ones that have been in a tank for a while. Huge, medium,or small I need these fish!!!! I'm fair and I know you guys know your stuff. Both lights are in excellent condition.

Greg,
I use a CBB to control aptasia this is my experience so far fwiw.

CBB's will control aptasia effectively
Have an alternate food source for them, mine loves mysis.
They will continue to pick at the rocks as long as the lights are on.

Do not place CBB's in tanks with Tangs larger than themselves.
I had 4 tangs and added 3 small cbbs it was a friggin mess.
the tangs were brutal and the cbb's developed their own pecking order.
I lost one CBB the first night, it came in sick, and I gave a second one away which was subsequently killed by a yellow tang in another tank
I got rid of all my tangs to give the CBB room, and also to lower my no3.

It took about a week for my CBB to start eating mysis.
He is doing great, except for a cyst he has developed in one of his eyes.
He has even gotten used to the cyst and is eating normally.

I hope this helps, my recommendations to CBB keepers are one to a tank, no large fish to harrass them, and make sure they get frozen mysis once a day.

Copperbands

jhale,

Yes I found out about, Yellow Tang's and Copperbands the hard way. I lost a Copperband to 3 Tangs. Since then I have added a large Vlamingi tang to keep everyone in check.

Thanks Greg
