So I get bored a lot decided to start culturing phytoplankton at home and now I got about 10 gallons worth, I am also culturing copepods but only have about 6000 ccs worth so I can start trading or selling those for cheap soon. I never knew they cost so much I paid 32 bucks for a 16 ounce bag lol. I wanna get rid of some phyto before I gotta get me a 20 gallon bucket soon I have no space for that so am thinking of them 16 ounce bottle of Poland spring worth for like 5 bucks or could trade you more for some corals or what ever . I started culturing this to start culturing copepods and didn't know I would do so good. I cant wait to have 10 gallons of pure copepods

its called reef soup it brought parvo, tisbe, pseudo, and acartia thought it was best to buy one for culture that had a few diff kind instead of the regular tisbe gonna try to culture amphipods soon.

What size is the phytoplankton and what did you use to start the culture. Interested in probably a gallon worth.

it was nannochloropsis agar it measures 2-4 microns i ordered a plate online i can deff give you a gallon i got pics to if you wanna see how green it is and cash or frags is cool with me lol

the phyto is already ready come pic it up and i will show you my whole operation lol its simple am not gonna get rich selling phyto to friends but maybe on ebay lol. What i really want is to get the copepods going but they grow slower so takes more time and maybe some amphipods in a diff culture but phytos the first stage for all open to frag trades to.

time to split the phyto tom and dont wanna make set up bigger happy with 10 gallons until i buy a bigger container. traded for a gallon today and we were both happy. offering a gallon of phyto for a nice trade let me know what u got to trade can also do 1/2 gallons
