Yes much easier to program. Got it to control my hydra Hds but haven't figured out how to do that yet.

alot of guys don't realize that these probes degrade over time. it doesn't matter weather it was in service or not. GLWS

A lot of guys don't realize that a PH or ORP probe degrades when it no longer can be calibrated correctly which you should get a minimum of 2 years out of standard probe. Oxygen and salinity probes are solid state and last indefinitely as long as they are maintained properly. A quick search on Reef central will give you this info on at least a dozen different posts by people who are certified in this area. Thanks for your post though.
