SOLD - I have had this 2.25 inch (approx) Yellow Candy Hogfish (Bodianus bimaculatus) for about 2.5 years. Over that period he was moved from a 39G display to an upgrade into a 90G. He/she has been a model part of my community mixed reef tanks (soft corals, hard SPS & LPS corals, clam, shrimp, cucumber, etc, atc) until I started keeping a 4 fish Bartlett Anthius harem. They are all close in size now and the female anthius have a lot of yellow, thus he has started to bully the smallest Anthius. This hogfish is VERY active and healthy (really a perfect specimen), actively hunting the live rock in my tank, and eats voraciously when feeding pellets or frozen foods. It is not at all shy, and happily swims right up to the glass when anyone comes over for a closer look. Since I would now rather keep the Anthius harem it is time for me to find a good home for this fish. I am asking $40 for it, and hoping someone will enjoy this fish as much as my family and I have. I just captured the fish using a fish trap tonight. So he is in fish jail right now in a vented container in my display. I would like him out asap. I am on the upper west side of Manhattan.
