Beautiful Multibar Angel 3.5inch

Im getting rid of my multibar angel. This fish is not for everyone.
I have had him for only 12 days. He has not eaten frozen or flakes in my tank. I have not tried feeding live. He is healthy and thick so he is no where near starvation and can still undergo a "training period". He expressed interest in frozen but never took a bite. He does forge around the tank. So he is healthy and has healthy activities but isn't trained on frozen.
I don't have the time to do it because Im not around. Additionally my tank is a larger making it hard to target feed.
I noticed in the past 2 days he started pecking on my scolly that was dying (already secreting mucus due to a trauma). He may be a pecker or he may just be really hungry and saw some attractive looking mucus.
He is at least 3.5inch and is very "tall". Selling at $60 at a substantial loss. just sumped him today.
Open to trade for nice looking BTA's, chalices, bubble corals (more than just a frag) but prefer cash.

That's a minimum of 2 weeks without eating...you should try feeding live food to try to save the Angel.

They actually eat copepods from your reef
But in the mean time try getting live mysys shrimp if youR LFS carry it...
Fish are for expert ..and not even the expert are very lucky with them ..
Need to be very lucky to get them to eat frozen.. best advice ask your salesmen to feed them before purchase ...NEXT TIME !

My tank is heavily heavily stocked with amphipods and copepods. So if it eats copepods then he's been fed well. Also the fish is far from "needing to be saved". He's fat. Although not ideal, fish can go awhile with out eating in his state.

Either way, I will purchase live food tonight and get him fed. I just can't feed love long term.
Yes, as per my post he is constantly forging and pecking around the tank. Probably picking up copes.

albano made that statement because he has had this fish several times and in a 400g well established tank, ive tried it a couple times myself. besides live food it will pick at the rock and certain sponges. and by the look of your rock the tank doesnt look to have been up a long time

Yeah I hear that. I bought it from an online seller so I had no way of knowing if it was eating frozen.
I bought live last night and he ate that but I can continue to do that which is why I want to get rid of him.
I'd give him to a dedicated hobbies for $30.

In the wild they eat sponges and very few foods have sponge. Hikari makes a dwarf angel frozen food but the trick is getting them to eat frozen. I have had several of these with mixed results. I start them in an isolated tank with plenty of established live rock for them to forage on and get comfortable. The best trick I have found is once I have one eating to use that one as a trainer fish to teach others.

i have a 265, i think its too small one day i will go big like you. wherre you get yours is it glass or acrylic
